A team-building format we built with one of our repeat-customer companies and now run on request. The team splits in two. In the morning each team gets a jeep, a driver, a sealed envelope of clues, and a 4-hour window to find five marked spots in the mountains and bring back a photo of each. After lunch the two teams compete in a head-to-head cooking duel in the yurt kitchen — same ingredients, same time limit, two judges from our restaurant team. Winner gets the trophy (a real, slightly silly handmade one). Losers do the dishes. Everyone eats together. The format works because the morning is high-energy outdoor and the afternoon is high-energy indoor; people who hated the first part love the second and vice versa. We can also rebalance teams between morning and afternoon if you want it to be a cohesion exercise rather than a competitive one.
