A full-day route over the Goderdzi pass — the highest road in Adjara at 2,000m — out to the Green lake, a small alpine lake set into a fold in the mountains. The pass itself is the main event: hairpin road, panoramas, and a stop at the village of Beshumi where shepherds spend the summer. We stop at the lake for lunch and a swim (it's cold; that's the point). The road back gives a different angle on the same mountains. The whole loop is about 8 hours including the lake stop. Good for groups that want one big landscape day in the middle of their stay. The road is open in summer and early autumn; closes when the snow arrives.
